IDS – P-8A Mission System Integration and Test, System Test; January 2008 – July 2008
Supported integrations of flight-ready hardware and software, test procedure development, and execution of startup/shutdown for requirements sell-off in a lab environment. Particular attention was given to sequencing, timing, power, and reliability concerns. This included a significant coordination role to address system design issues and concerns over the system impact of late design changes.
IDS – P-8A Mission System Software Employee Involvement; January 2007 – December 2007 (Concurrent with below)
Initiated and led an employee involvement team bringing together the ten groups of the Mission Systems Software IPT for the P8-A program. The team started with an internal survey to identify IPT specific issues, analyzed the results, and created action plans for the team and management to address the issues identified.
IDS – P-8A Missions Systems Software Real Time Simulation; October 2005 – December 2007
Simulation software development, supporting algorithm identification, design, implementation, and test for internal and external needs. Subsequent roles included software review board support and process improvement. Led a cross IPT team to define requirements, refine architecture, schedule, implement, test, and deliver a simulation suite to support system test
Systems Engineering and Assessment Employee Involvement (EI); September 2000 – September 2005 (Concurrent with all below)
Assisting a director-level functional manager to develop and work within budget constraints, improve communication and team building at all levels, increase partnership with academia, assisting EI activities on programs, and maturing the team itself. Became co-lead in January 2004. The Team was invited to present to an executive training class and awarded the Air Force Systems EI Team of the Year 2nd Place Award in January 2005.
IDS – Future Combat Systems; April 2004 – September 2005
Reviewing systems and subsystem level requirements for testability, representing internal work group at external meetings, supporting customer demonstrations, developing and implementing internal SCM and PR process consistent with program processes.
